This year the dutch championships has been posponed for a while but this weekend it happened. First day a bit off shore wind (S 4-6 bft), and the second day with better wind (SW 4-7 bft). The event was mainly focussed on the competition, which made it cool for the riders to compete as best as they could!
First day
First day they started the single elimination, despites the gusty conditions. First heat went really good landing a front mobe, the 6 one footer, kung fu’s and a 360 HP, double s-bends. Which made me win the first heat! The second heat began really bad, I lost my board by doing an insane pop in a gust. It took me quite some time to recover and start my heat again. I lost and I couldn’t wait for doing the doubles.
Second day
The second day began really good. I won my first heat. Then I had to compete against Rolf v.d. Vlucht who had a really good heat before. I had a really solid run, the last two minutes I pushed everything. Doing an insane high 360 HP in front of the jury, and immediately at the landing a railey to blind. I was climbing the latter over and over till I had to compete agianst Jerry who I defeated at the singles, but he was riding very well today. Suddely the wind dropped at our heat and we couldn’t do much tricks. It was a really close call but the judges chose Jerry, so I became 6!
